Plants With Globe Shaped Flowers

"Oh, hello there.  Just musing over bulbs and perennials for fall planting.  But not just any plants.  Plants that have big, round flowers that is.  Not only are they playful and fantastic, but they break up a more traditional perennial garden and add a feeling of tidiness and bright, concentrated color.  Below are some of my favorites that I've gleaned from the September issue of English Garden Magazine.  Time for fall digging!"
Allium, "Lucy Ball"

Dahlia, "Aurora Kiss"
Peony, "Molly the Witch"

Drumstick Primula

  1. Mews, English Garden Magazine is a fine publication. I have read it many times and commend it to your readers.

  2. We want all of these! "Molly the Witch" is a classic (it's really Paeonia mlokosewitschii - we like "Molly the Witch" much better).

  3. We aren't into flowers so much but we DO enjoy digging holes! All the way to China, according to Mommy.
