Bobbie the Wonder Dog and Silverton, Oregon

"For inspiration I visited the Oregon Garden in Silverton, Oregon.  A very quaint little town if ever there was a quaint little town.  I learned the story of Bobbie the Wonder Dog who walked from Indiana back to his family's home in Silverton, Oregon-now that is one determined Canis Lupus Familiaris. The poor beast returned with his pads worn to the bone having-are you ready-crossed the Rockies in the winter!  Yes, it's nearly unbelievable.

But I digress.  Here are some photos that I took of the water garden-my favorite part of the Oregon garden.  Have you ever seen such strange lily pads?  I thought they were plastic at first glance, but no.  They are as real as my wet nose!"
