Mr Mews Reacts to America's Got Talent

Mr Mews and Quigley engaged in a rare occurence last week over a botttle of sherry and some delightful beluga caviar-they watched America's Got Talent. "Good God man.  What flash, what a gauche display in all manners of  exploitation.  And who are these so-called judges?  A bald man, a transexual, and a fop?"

"Indeed, Mr Mews, garish indeed.  A human freak show really.  I dare say if hell is anything like being a contestant on this abhorrent program I really must start going to confession a bit more frequently."

"I concur Quigley.  It's unimaginable, but I believe I'm actually at a loss for words.  If I were forced to watch this program on a continual loop for the course of a week I believe I might confess to any manner of abominations I did not commit."

  3. We certainly agree with you about those so-called "talent shows"! And we feel the same about "reality shows".

We listen to classical music, and we watch science and nature shows on TV (it is fun trying to catch the little animals there), Futurama, South Park, and Robot Chicken. Do you enjoy those?

  4. Oh, indeed I do indulge in the lighter side of things now and then. A gentleman is not always stiff and serious. One of my favorite guilty pleasures is "That Darn Katz" episode of Futurama when "we" take over the world. (Season 6 episode 8 to be exact). It always give a tickle and chuckle that one.

  5. Mr. Mews, I must say your review of that "talent" show was spot on! I believe most felines have a vast number neurons MORE than necessary to appreciate such slog. Do leave it for the subbies, eh?

  6. We don't watch these shows. Our television objected to it and blacked out. We haven't replaced it since.

  9. Mercifully, not only does our television object to these shows, our human does as well. And to most of the so-called popular programs, which none of us, feline or human, has ever seen.
